

Situation
Set against a lush West Seattle backdrop and situated just seconds from bustling downtown street blocks, this urban living destination is packed with amenities. However, it has a handful of 10-year-old EV charging stations that are no longer useful to the property. They have entered a state of disrepair and obsolescence. As such, the management team sought out new solutions to replace them and contacted multiple companies to understand the costs of installing new stations.
Solution
Pando Electric came on-site and performed a site walk to determine how much available capacity there was for EV charging. The property had 200A of available power after the replacement of the old stations and could add roughly 4 traditional EV charging stations before added power and significant capital was needed. However, with Pando Electric’s Adaptive Load Management system, the property could not only add the four stations they currently need but also be able to cover 100% of the parking spaces on the property without needing to add any additional infrastructure.
Results
The property now has four Pando Smart Outlets for EV charging allowing the two EV-driving residents to charge up their vehicles whenever they like. By only installing for the current needs and by working with Pando Electric’s team of experts the property saved $20k on installation costs and paid nothing out-of-pocket thanks to the King County Housing Authority incentive program. Additionally, the property is ready to add more stations as needed at very little cost and by going with Pando Electric is now completely covered for the short and long-term needs of the property. The Marq West can now fully cover 100% of its parking spaces with Pando Smart Outlets and never has to worry about adding EV charging again.
