Orange Charger customers are facing serious risks

Pando Electric, based in Silicon Valley, provides smart, affordable EV charging solutions for multifamily and commercial properties through scalable, turnkey systems.

Since its 2023 launch, Pando has invested in R&D and earned CTEP certification from the CDFA, ensuring legal, accurate electricity billing per state standards.

In contrast, Orange Charger dropped out of the CTEP process. After seeing Pando’s usage-based pricing, it adopted a similar kilowatt-hour model in mid-2024—without certification. This makes Orange’s billing illegal in California. Despite this, it falsely claimed compliance, accused Pando of IP theft, and secured seed funding using these claims.

Orange Charger may face serious risks: to comply with law, Orange Charger may need to abandon usage-based billing—or shut down entirely. Customers should take steps now to protect themselves.
